Program committee:
Workshop program committee members are (or have been) members of the Project Management Team of the ITEA COSI project. COSI is an European research project dealing with the use of Open Source Software in a Product Line context. For this reason COSI PMT members have a great knowledge in the workshop related topics and are willing to support its organisation.

Organiser's short bio:
Frank van der Linden
Dr. Frank van der Linden did his Ph.D. in Mathematics in 1984 at the University of Amsterdam. He worked at Philips research between 1984 and 1999 on several topics in the field of software engineering, including component based software architecture.
Frank van der Linden works at Philips Medical Systems since 1999. He was project manager for the series of ITEA projects ESAPS, CAFÉ, and FAMILIES. Before this he was involved in the EU ESPRIT project ARES, which provided basic architectural knowledge for product-line engineering. Since November 2006 he is project manager of the ITEA project COSI, that investigates heterogeneous distributed development in industry, including collaboration with open source communities.
Frank was program chair of the series of 5 workshops on product line engineering (SWAPF & PFE) and is member of the organising committee of the SPLC conferences. He was chair of SPLC in 2005 and is programme chair of SPLC 2006.
Piergiorgio Di Giacomo
Piergiorgio Di Giacomo is employed
as Software Engineer at the Italian division of
Leadcom I.S. where he is involved in the implementation
and supervision of VAS activities for messaging
and OSS platforms. He received his Master Science
Degree in Software Engineering from the University
of Florence, in Italy where he is currently taking
a Ph.D. in the same field of research. Previously
to his work at the Leadcom I.S., Piergiorgio Di
Giacomo has worked as researcher at the Research
and Development department of the European Software
Institute (ESI) in Spain, Nokia Research Center
(Finland), the European University Institute (Italy),
Industrial Services S.a.S. (Italy).
