I've been carrying out scientific research since 1999, working on digital libraries and multimedia databases. On these subjects I've addressed semantic analysis, content indexing and annotation, semantic retrieval and transcoding. In particular, I've worked on news, sports and cultural heritage videos.

I've always worked within EU and national funded research projects.

I'm working for the organization of ACM Multimedia 2010, that will be held in Florence.
